The first batch of IIMB UG students
Each programme has 40 seats. The campus is located approximately 23 kilometres from IIMB’s Bannerghatta Road campus and is being developed as a dedicated residential academic environment designed to foster interdisciplinary learning, research and innovation. Recently, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between IIM Bangalore and the Tata Trusts (Sir Dorabji Tata Trust), formalising a significant philanthropic contribution by the Tata Trusts towards the development of the school.
IIM-B is launching its BSc (Hons) programmes in Data Sciences and Economics at its new campus, the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore–Dorabji Tata School of Undergraduate Studies, in the Jigani-Anekal area. The school was thus renamed as ‘Indian Institute of Management Bangalore – Dorabji Tata School of Undergraduate Studies’. Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science: A full-time undergraduate Data Science programme (with an Economics minor), the degree blends rigorous training in stochastic processes, algorithms, data structures, and psychology with applied business learning. Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Economics: A full-time undergraduate Economics programme (with a Data Science minor), the degree combines economic theory with statistical inference, econometrics, and behavioural insights, underpinned by data mining and applied business learning.
