Advocate-general Vijay Narayan submitted that of the 305 people from Tamil Nadu who had travelled on a pilgrimage to Kailash, 220 had been rescued and sent back to their respective hometowns. Efforts were underway to rescue the remaining 85 people, he said. Admitting the plea on Wednesday, the first bench of Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G Arul Murugan directed the authorities to file a detailed report on the steps taken in a week.
