Premallatha said VCK changed its political stand for the sake of a ministerial post, but was blaming DMK and DMDK for the disintegration of the DMK-led alliance. The reason was “simple” as VCK wanted the ministerial post, she said. She said DMK had increased VCK’s allocation from six to eight seats during the assembly election. She questioned Thirumavalavan for “unwantedly” dragging DMDK into controversies and asked whether VCK was scared of her party. She also criticised DMK leader A Raja for his controversial remark against minister R Nirmalkumar and said that politicians should watch their words. “Who gave the rights to demean women in the family of the political rivals,” she asked.
If VCK decided to back TVK govt only to prevent governor’s rule, why didn’t the party choose to extend outside support to TVK as the Left parties did, she asked. Download the TOI App.
