New Delhi: A 19-year-old man died after his scooter was hit by a DTC bus on the Najafgarh–Nangloi Road Tuesday. The driver of the bus was subsequently arrested.
Police found the DTC bus driver, Amit Dahiya, at the spot of the accident and took him to the police station. During enquiry, police found another injured person, Monu Kumar , who had been admitted to Rathi Hospital. But Monu was later declared unfit to provide a statement.
The victim was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mangol Puri, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased was identified as Himanshu (19), a resident of Bahadurgarh. A case has been registered under sections relating to rash driving on a public way, act endangering life or personal safety of others and causing death by negligence under BNS.
