New Delhi: A brawl broke out in Rohini ’s Prashant Vihar Wednesday after a Class X girl allegedly accused a neighbour of harassing her, following which her family confronted him.

She told her family about the incident, following which her mother and 80-year-old grandmother confronted the youth. The accused allegedly grabbed her hand and misbehaved with her while she was on her way to a stationery shop around 8pm, according to the girl’s complaint. Police said the accused was also hit on the head with a stick by the girl’s mother and grandmother. An officer said there was also pre-existing enmity between the two families and the incident was being investigated from all angles.

A scuffle subsequently broke out between the two sides. The girl’s family members sustained injuries and underwent treatment at a hospital. An FIR was registered on the girl’s complaint and the accused was arrested. Download the TOI App.
