Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to nab the suspects. New Delhi: A DU student has alleged that occupants of an SUV passed lewd comments at her and her friend before allegedly attempting to drag them into the vehicle near a park in northwest Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar.
In her written complaint, the woman stated the incident took place around 9.30pm Wednesday near Hakikat Park. Following the complaint, police registered a case under BNS sections 78 (stalking), 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 3(5) (common intention) against unknown persons.
A senior police officer said the student had visited Maurice Nagar police station but did not mention the incident.
