New Delhi: A man was arrested for allegedly killing his wife over strained marital relations in central Delhi’s Anand Parbat. The accused was apprehended from Bulandshahr, following statements by the deceased’s daughter.
Officials found the woman (32) lying dead in her room, with no apparent external injuries except nail-like marks on the left side of her neck. “The elder daughter told us that she woke up around 4 am and saw her father checking her mother’s breathing. He was traced and apprehended within 16 hours from his home town in Uttar Pradesh .
Police launched a search for the husband.
After some time, the girl noticed that her mother was not responding,” said DCP Rohit Rajbir Singh. During interrogation, the accused allegedly said that he strangled his wife following an altercation. Police received information about the incident in Punjabi Gali Monday. She lived with her mother, husband and two daughters. Thereafter, her father went outside the house.
