New Delhi: A nine-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 40-year-old neighbour in northwest Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar, police said. The accused was arrested.
In another case, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in outer Delhi’s Narela area, police said.
The accused took her to his room Monday, according to police. The girl told officers that he threatened her and sexually assaulted her. Police said the accused was known to the girl’s family and was regarded as an uncle from their village. The girl had met the accused boy through social media and had been in contact with him on the phone, according to police. Cops said one of the boys allegedly sexually assaulted the girl. The accused allegedly threatened to kill the girl if she told anyone about the incident and later left her near her home. After returning home, the girl told her mother about the incident.
He had come to Delhi around seven months ago in search of work. She also alleged that his two friends recorded the incident. Police are verifying the claim.
On Tuesday night, the boy allegedly called her and asked her to come downstairs from her house.
