NEW DELHI: A businessman was allegedly robbed of a cash bag containing around Rs 30 lakh by four men riding a scooter in Shahdara’s Krishna Nagar Friday morning, police said.
Police arrived after a PCR call regarding the incident around 11.30am. The incident was reported from E Block, when the businessman was travelling from his residence towards Gandhi Nagar.
The complainant told police that he was carrying cash when four men allegedly intercepted him, snatched the bag and fled. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from cameras installed in and around the block to identify the suspects and establish the route taken by them after the crime. They are also checking whether the suspects had prior information that he was carrying a large amount of cash.
Meanwhile in another case, two armed men riding a scooter allegedly robbed a businessman’s employee of Rs 20 lakh at gunpoint in west Delhi’s Hari Nagar Wednesday.
