New Delhi: A Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) report has confirmed that DNA profiles of all four accused in the alleged gang rape and murder of a minor girl in outer Delhi’s Bawana matched DNA recovered from the victim, police sources said.
The case came to light on Sept 13 after police found the girl’s body near a field along Kushak Road. A search operation on the night of Sept 15-16 led police to the vehicle in Khadda Colony, Swaroop Nagar. Police said the girl had gone to meet a friend on Sept 12.
During the investigation, police identified a goods tempo seen near the crime scene. Police questioned the driver, which led to the apprehension of four suspects. The friend allegedly called his associates, after which they travelled together in the goods vehicle. The men later confessed to sexually assaulting the girl before stabbing her multiple times and killing her for fear she would report the crime.
