The leaders allegedly used her photograph without permission and employed AI face-swapping tools to superimpose her face on what she described as a “highly vulgar and compromising image” alongside Modi, according to LiveLaw. The complaint relates to a protest organised by the CJP at Jantar Mantar, where the alleged morphed image was displayed, according to the plea. The plea names CJP leaders Saurav Das, Abhijit Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka and Ratna Singh as respondents. The woman, identified as Riddhima Sharma in the complaint, has alleged that the CJP leaders carried out a coordinated cyber-assault and publicly targeted her using a morphed image. The case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The plea has sought directions for the removal of the alleged deepfake image from social media platforms and other online sources. NEW DELHI: The Delhi high court on Friday allowed urgent listing of a plea seeking directions to four Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders to remove an alleged deepfake image of a woman alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi from social media, according to LiveLaw. The matter was mentioned before a division bench comprising Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia, which directed that it be listed on Friday. Delhi Police registered an FIR at the Cyber police station in New Delhi on Thursday following the woman’s complaint.
