It is expected to reduce travel time between Mayur Vihar Phase-I and AIIMS from around 45 minutes to 15 minutes and ease traffic pressure on major routes. The Barapullah Phase-III elevated corridor will provide signal-free connectivity from Mayur Vihar Phase-I through Sarai Kale Khan to AIIMS.
The Barapullah Phase-III corridor has been connected to the existing Barapullah network and features nine loops for movement of traffic in different directions. Separate facilities have also been developed for pedestrians and cyclists along the corridor.

It comprises two vehicular underpasses and one pedestrian underpass and is expected to facilitate the passage of around 15,800 vehicles every day. A new parallel flyover is proposed at the Savitri Cinema junction to reduce pressure around Outer Ring Road and GK-2 Road. The Mukarba Chowk Underpass has been built to improve traffic movement on Outer Ring Road. The underpass will allow traffic travelling from Badli and Rohini towards Azadpur and Jahangirpuri to access the route without entering the Mukarba Chowk interchange. A separate facility for pedestrians and non-motorised traffic has also been built near Haiderpur Badli Mor Metro Station. The Modi Mill Flyover extension is aimed at providing signal-free movement from the mill towards Kalkaji and further to IIT Gate. The project is intended to reduce pressure on major junctions and improve traffic movement between Nehru Place, Kalkaji, Greater Kailash and nearby areas. The planned route will provide smoother movement for vehicles travelling towards Nehru Place, Okhla and nearby areas. The proposed Loni Road roundabout underpass is aimed at improving traffic flow between Loni Road and Shahdara. The four-lane underpass is intended to reduce the need for vehicles travelling to and from Loni to stop at the roundabout.
