New Delhi: The uncle of 26-year-old Tarun Khatik, who was killed during a clash between two neighbouring families in a JJ colony in Uttam Nagar on the night of Holi on March 4, has alleged that he was assaulted and threatened by a person known to one of the accused, amid concerns over the family’s safety. Police, however, said a PCR call was received regarding the alleged incident, but on reaching the spot, officers found that a crowd had gathered due to rumours and no untoward incident had taken place.
Police said the situation was normal and adequate staff had been deployed as a precaution. “Public is advised not to believe or circulate unverified information and rumours,” police said.
