NEW DELHI: Manish Brahmbhatt, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party-Democratic, on Thursday announced the launch of the new political platform, saying it would focus on transparency, accountability and democratic decision-making, according to news agency ANI.
He said the organisation would seek to build a national team through a democratic process, with members involved in important decisions. “Anyone who supports transparency and accountability, and believes that accountability should apply to the team as well and not just the government, can join,” Brahmbhatt said. He said efforts had been made to convince those involved that the movement belonged to the country and should not become centred around an individual. Form your own team, but don’t make it Kejriwal ‘s team,” he said.
“We are launching Cockroach Janta Party-Democratic. Explaining the reasons behind the initiative, Brahmbhatt alleged that political interests had gradually taken over what he described as a people’s movement. “This is the country’s movement. The country has awakened. Try to form the country’s team in a democratic way.
Today, we are announcing social media accounts, a WhatsApp number and a missed-call number for the nation,” he said.
