Winter action plan kicks in from Nov 1

The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

New Delhi: Bar on entry of vehicles that are registered outside Delhi and conform to standards below BS-VI, no fuel without PUCC, emphasis on 50% work from home, and monitoring construction dust using AI cameras are some key features of Delhi’s winter action plan.

CNG and EVs are exempt from the vehicular restriction that will be in force from Nov 1 to Jan 31. MCD offices will function from 8.30 am to 5 pm, while offices under Delhi govt will be open from 10 am to 6.30 pm. Govt and private offices will reduce their in-office workforce by 50%.

Staggered office timings and work-from-home measures will be introduced. These measures are aimed at reducing peak-hour traffic and vehicular emissions during the winter pollution period.
