The Panchayat Raj Department chief engineer frequently used abusive and derogatory language and allegedly humiliated and harassed women employees in the office, according to the complainants. The employees said they had emailed and faxed the complaint to the ENC and two district collectors earlier this week. Warangal : Fifteen women employees have lodged a complaint against the chief engineer of the Zilla Praja Parishad (ZP), Warangal, alleging harassment and inappropriate behaviour. They alleged that he made inappropriate remarks about women and used offensive proverbs during interactions with female staff. The employees further alleged that the chief engineer behaved inappropriately with a woman employee during an official meeting in his office. A nine-page complaint detailing the alleged incidents and remarks was submitted to the minister. They alleged that the chief engineer was attempting to suppress the complaints and prevent them from reaching higher authorities.
They submitted a representation to Panchayat Raj minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) in Hyderabad on Friday.
