Rajahmundry : A 26-year-old software engineer drowned in a mountain stream near Sokuleru viewpoint in Andhra Pradesh ’s Polavaram district on Tuesday afternoon while taking photographs. Police and SDRF later recovered Kosuru Nilesh’s body.
Around 11.30 am, four of them stepped into the swift-flowing stream to take photos among the rocks. On receiving information about the incident, police teams from Chintoor and Mothugudem, along with personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), rushed to the spot and launched a search operation. they slipped and fell into the water While clicking pictures. Hearing their cries for help, locals rushed to the spot and managed to rescue three of them, including two women. Nilesh, however, was swept away. A case has been registered at Mothugudem police station.
