Hyderabad: A 29-year-old software engineer allegedly died by suicide at Golf Edge Apartments in Nanakramguda on Monday morning.

He had arrived in Hyderabad two days before the incident after his marriage had been fixed, according to police. “We do not yet know what prompted him to take this step,” the Gachibowli police inspector said. “The note simply says, ‘Sorry,’ referring to his parents,” the inspector said.
The deceased, Bharath Kumar, was employed with a software company in Bengaluru and hailed from Suryapet district. He was staying at a friend’s flat on the 30th floor of the apartment complex. He was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Kumar’s friend was not present in the flat at the time of the incident. Police recovered a note from the flat in which Kumar apologised to his parents. Police registered a case based on a complaint lodged by Kumar’s family. His body was shifted to the Osmania mortuary for a postmortem examination and later handed over to his family. Further investigation into the incident is underway. Download the TOI App.
On Monday morning, a security guard found Kumar on the ground and alerted residents, who informed the police.
