Hyderabad: A special seminar on climate change will be held as part of the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026, scheduled for December 7, 8 and 9 at Bharat Future City, Hyderabad. The international summit is expected to bring together leading industrialists, investors and experts from various sectors from across India and abroad.

Officials said chief minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed that, in addition to the main theme of “Invest Telangana,” climate change be included as a special sub-theme of the summit. Discussions will cover key issues such as drought, water scarcity, agricultural distress, rising temperatures, growing power demand, environmental conservation and the preparation of climate-resilient development plans, officials said.

He has also suggested inviting meteorological experts, university researchers and specialists working in climate-related fields to participate in the seminar. The forum will focus on global challenges arising from climate change and the effects of El Niño, along with the strategies and policies being adopted by countries around the world to address them.

In addition, participants will examine successful international policies, advanced technological solutions and global best practices that can help address climate-related challenges,” officials said. “The seminar will also provide an opportunity for the Telangana govt to present the proactive measures it has undertaken to mitigate the impact of El Niño.
