Hyderabad: Mapmygenome, a personal genomics and precision medicine player from Hyderabad, has acquired Vancouver-based personal genomics company dnaPower Inc for an undisclosed amount.
The company said the transaction, completed on Oct 21, will combine dnaPower’s consumer genomics business with Mapmygenome’s laboratory network, artificial intelligence capabilities and multi-omics research pipeline. The acquisition follows Mapmygenome’s 2025 purchase of Microbiome Insights, a Vancouver-based provider of CAP-accredited sequencing, analytics and bioinformatics services. Founded in 2008, dnaPower provides DNA-based health, nutrition, fitness, methylation and longevity insights to consumers and practitioners.

Mapmygenome said the combined platform will offer DNA testing, gut microbiome profiling, pharmacogenetics, whole-genome and exome sequencing, methylation testing, epigenetic biological age panels and healthy ageing insights for consumers, clinicians and healthcare partners across Canada and the United States. A centralised Vancouver processing hub will operate under CAP-accredited and ISO-certified protocols, the company said. “Acquiring dnaPower is a pivotal step in scaling our North American operations,” said Anu Acharya, founder & CEO, Mapmygenome. She said the combination of dnaPower’s commercial presence with Mapmygenome’s clinical laboratory infrastructure and AI capabilities would support expansion in microbiome, longevity and precision health testing. dnaPower founder and chief executive Dr Lois Nahirney said joining Mapmygenome would help the Canadian company scale more quickly across North America and deliver advanced products directly to clients.
