Hyderabad: DNA analysis by Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (TGFSL) has linked accused Md Sanaullah, 34, to the alleged rape and murder of a 21-year-old nurse at Tukkuguda, providing forensic corroboration to police investigation.
Police detained Sanaullah on Aug 30 and later arrested him in the case.
Sources in Pahadishareef police said investigators have received the forensic report, which found that the DNA profile generated from biological material collected from the victim’s private parts matched the accused’s DNA profile. Forensics strengthens police case According to investigators, the accused had allegedly been watching the nurse’s movements for nearly a month. Police said he entered her room through a window while she was asleep and attempted to sexually assault her.
When she resisted, he allegedly strangled her before escaping through the same window. Following the medical examination, police added rape provisions and sections of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Police initially registered a murder case under BNS Section 103 while awaiting forensic findings on suspected sexual assault.
