Drunk row turns fatal, man bludgeoned to death by friend
Hyderabad: A 23-year-old man was bludgeoned to death by his friend following an argument during a late-night drinking session near the Karimnagar bus stand on Friday. The accused, Mirza Ibrahim Baig, 23, attacked Maddi Sudhakar alias Siddu , a native of Zaheerabad, with a concrete block, striking his head around 10 times after Sudhakar reportedly made derogatory remarks about his family. Sudhakar, 23, worked at a food court near Mancherial Chowrasta in Karimnagar, according to the police.
Police have launched a search for Baig and are investigating the circumstances leading to the attack.
Police said they had been quarrelling over the past two to three days. He had befriended Baig, a resident of Karkhanagadda, and the two frequently spent time together around the bus stand. It is learnt that the police have traced the whereabouts of the accused.
Bus stand staff alerted One Town police, who rushed to the scene and shifted the body to the govt hospital. A murder case was registered.
