Shirisha was a native of Chowtigudem village in Mulakalapalli mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, according to police.
HYDERABAD: A 21-year-old nurse was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a room in the Pahadishareef area here, with police suspecting that she may have been assaulted by unidentified persons. Sarika called the complainant around 2:30 pm on Saturday and informed her that Shirisha had not left her room since morning, according to Shamshabad Police. A police team, along with the clues team, reached the spot and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The deceased was identified as Vuke Shirisha, who worked as a nurse at Prime Care Hospital in Thukkuguda and lived in the hospital’s residential quarters with her friends, Shamshabad Police said. Shirisha was a native of Chowtigudem village in Mulakalapalli mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, according to police. Police said Shirisha’s friends then entered the room through a window and found her lying dead with bleeding injuries on her face.
Despite knocking on the door several times, there was no response. The complainant subsequently reached the room and saw Shirisha’s body. Based on the complaint, police suspected that unidentified persons may have assaulted Shirisha and killed her by hitting her with an unknown object.
