Warangal : Warangal Super Speciality Hospital will begin outpatient services on Oct 20, ahead of its full inauguration by chief minister A Revanth Reddy after Dec 15, revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said. Reddy said the outpatient services would be soft-launched after two floors of the 24-storey hospital were furnished.
Reddy said patients from Telangana ’s border villages and neighbouring Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra were expected to use the facility. Shifting services from state-run MGM Hospital was necessary as the condition of some departments was affecting services, he added. Govt had provided all amenities required to start outpatient services, he added. The ministers reviewed the construction of hospital blocks, infrastructure, electricity and water supply, and the quality of completed work. Ponguleti instructed construction officials to accelerate floor-by-floor completion to make the hospital operational. He also asked district collectors Dr Satya Sharada and Chahat Bajpai to monitor the works daily and ensure convenient use of space for patients.
About 3,000 outpatients are expected daily initially, rising to 5,000 after the inauguration. All services will begin after Dec 15, when the hospital is expected to become fully operational with the required medical equipment.
