Police said both sides lodged complaints against each other. Download the TOI App. Kolkata : At least eight students were injured as a clash broke out between supporters of Indian Secular Front (ISF) and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at Bhangar College on Monday.
ISF claimed when they protested, ABVP launched the attack. ABVP members alleged they had gone to speak with the professor in-charge about an upcoming programme when ISF supporters, along with some outsiders, attacked them. But ISF members denied the allegation and alleged ABVP supporters brought BJP workers from outside to create unrest on an otherwise peaceful campus. Cops from the Bhangar Police Station reached the campus and brought the situation under control. The injured were taken to Nalmuri Block Primary Health Centre.
