Yashmita Dutta wishes to become a professional singer
Yashmita has also been among the top 30 contestants on Sony’s Superstar Singer.
“I am so happy and proud because I worked incredibly hard for this,” Dutta said. “My secret was sticking to my routine, following it exactly, and making sure I practiced every morning,” she added. “Seeing her talent recognized globally is a dream come true,” he said. “My dream is to work with A R Rahman sir one day,” Yashmita said.
Her achievement came through regular practice and discipline. Dutta credited her music teacher, Saubhik Kundu, and her parents for her success. Her father, Ekanistha, played a key role when her teacher fell ill. Using his IT background, he created custom randomization software to help her practice in a test-like environment. He added, “Yashmita had difficulty speaking since birth, and the family had planned speech therapy for her. But when she started humming songs, they noticed that music helped her speak more clearly. After that, he and his wife, Koel, encouraged her to learn music. The true credit goes to her dedication. She is a child artist with All India Radio, Kolkata, and was the second runner-up in Aakashe Superstar.
