The event comes days after Adhikari announced the event while speaking at a Gerua Samman Yatra rally on September 9. Kolkata: As per chief minister Suvendu Adhikari’s pre announced plan to intensify its outreach around Jadavpur University, a three-day Ved Path programme at Layelka Ground in Baghajatin will take place from Monday.
Organisers have advertised the three day programme as the first such event to be held “near Jadavpur University”. He urged people he described as “nationalist” to participate in the Ved Path programme and said he would subsequently attend separate Gita and Hanuman Chalisa recitation programmes in the area around JU. Adhikari had referred to the programme while outlining a series of events around Jadavpur University.
A student personality-development camp will be held from 1.30pm on all three days, followed by a collective Vedic chanting session at 5.45pm, according to the schedule. A discourse by Hindu monk and spiritual preacher Hiranmoy Goswami Maharaj will begin at 6pm.
