Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Thursday extended interim protection granted to TMC MP Mahua Moitra till Jan 29, 2027, in an alleged hate speech case. Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya extended the interim protection after advocate general Surojit Nath Mitra informed the court that Moitra had appeared before the investigating officer at Hogalberia police station on Aug 14 and answered questions posed to her.
