The speaker said he planned to appeal to Bengalis living abroad to visit Bengal, understand the change of environment with the change of guard and contribute to the state’s growth. “I will, officially or unofficially, make an appeal to them — come, visit Bengal, see Bengal and see the environment here,” Bose said on Wednesday. Kolkata : State legislative assembly speaker Rathindra Bose will on Sept 11 leave for a three-country visit to reach out to the diaspora and urge them to contribute to the development of Bengal. Bose will first travel to Cape Town in South Africa to attend the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPA), scheduled from Sept 13 to 19. He will be part of the Indian delegation, led by the Lok Sabha speaker. His next stops will be the US and the UK.
