Kolkata : A young social media influencer and anchor staying alone in a Baguiati flat has alleged that a parcel delivery rider tried to force his way into her flat after she refused to pay extra money and later threatened her outside the door. Baguiati police have registered a case based on her written complaint and are probing the incident.
The incident occurred around 9.35pm on Tuesday at a standalone apartment near Joramandir, according to the complaint.
She also alleged that the rider told her that he would “come back” and “show his power”, and claimed that the police could not take action against him if she lodged a complaint. The woman had booked a parcel delivery through an app. A delivery executive arrived at her flat to collect the parcel. Police are investigating the allegations.
The woman submitted a written complaint at Baguiati police station on Wednesday, following which a case was started under sections dealing with criminal intimidation, house-trespass-related offences and other charges, according to cops.
