Mumbai: The Vikhroli police on Sunday arrested Amit Gupta , managing director of Orris Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, in connection with a case registered on a complaint by Godrej Properties Ltd alleging forgery, cheating, criminal breach of trust and criminal conspiracy.
Gupta was arrested in Amritsar in connection with the case registered at Vikhroli police station on March 17, 2026. He was produced before a court and remanded in police custody till Aug 27. He has been charged under various BNS sections relating to forgery, use of forged documents, cheating, criminal breach of trust and criminal conspiracy. Besides Gupta, Saurabh Agarwal and his company Orris Tower have been named in the FIR.
The case relates to the Godrej Air project in Sector 85, Gurugram, which was being developed through a partnership between Godrej Properties and Orris Infrastructure. The complaint referred to Form-3 and Form-4 filings allegedly submitted in Jan 2026. The company also alleged that its 37.5 per cent interest in the LLP was sought to be transferred to another entity.

The alleged actions were intended to gain control over the LLP and its assets, including funds and receivables connected with the project, according to the FIR. Godrej Properties alleged in the complaint that statutory records of the limited liability partnership (LLP) were altered without its authorisation and false documents were submitted to the Registrar of Companies (ROC). Godrej Properties alleged that its nominated partner was removed from the LLP records without approval and Saurabh Agarwal was shown as an appointed partner. The complaint further alleged that Gupta and others fabricated minutes, resolutions and supporting documents and used these to make unauthorised changes to the LLP’s statutory records. Godrej Properties claimed there was no valid partners’ meeting or resolution approving the changes. Godrej Properties also alleged public notices were put out and representations made claiming termination of its development rights. Download the TOI App.
