Mumbai Ganesh mandals to hold special Maha Aarti for PM Modi’s September 17 birthday
MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Samiti, coordinating body of Mumbai’s 12,000-odd Ganpati mandals, has instructed Ganesh mandals to perform a special Maha Aarti praying for PM Narendra Modi ‘s health and longevity on his upcoming birthday September 17. Special prizes for best Maha Aarti will be distributed, Rs 51,000 for mandal in first position, Rs 31,000 for second best Maha Aarti and Rs 21,000 for third place. Individual households who perform similar Maha Aarti for Mr Modi stand to win Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively.
