Bengaluru: A turf war between two rival groups in east Bengaluru turned deadly as a 26-year-old man was murdered, and police arrested the main accused in connection with the case. Arjun and Palani (32) – who has now been arrested – had attempted to establish their influence at KG Halli with the support of their associates, according to police. A couple of cases were registered against both Arjun and Palani over their clashes in the past one year. The rivalry had reportedly led to repeated clashes between the groups. Police suspect the latest attack was also linked to the feud. Palani allegedly attacked Arjun with iron rods and smashed his head with a stone. Following the murder , KG Halli police arrested Palani and are questioning him to ascertain the exact motive and sequence of events leading to the killing. Two other accused are still absconding. Palani works as an office boy in a private firm. Police have seized the iron rod and stone used for the murder.
