Belagavi: Air connectivity from Belagavi is set for a boost with IndiGo restoring daily flights to New Delhi and Bengaluru from Oct 1. The Delhi flight will leave the national capital at 6.15am, reach Belagavi at 8.40am, depart at 9.10am and arrive in Delhi at 11.40am.
Both services will operate in the morning, according to a connectivity update issued by Belagavi Airport.
IndiGo will also make its morning Bengaluru service daily from Oct 1. The flight will arrive in Belagavi at 8.20am and depart at 8.50am. The existing evening Bengaluru service will continue on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, arriving at 7.25pm and leaving at 7.45pm.
Former chief minister and Belagavi MP Jagadish Shettar said he had taken up the issue with Union civil aviation minister K Rammohan Naidu and IndiGo officials, seeking restoration of daily connectivity. Shettar said IndiGo officials had indicated that the evening service could also become daily in future.
