Bengaluru: A 29-year-old delivery executive with a major e-commerce company was allegedly robbed and attacked with a machete by a gang of six men early Saturday, suffering bleeding injuries to his hand and the back of his head. At the time, six men approached him on two motorcycles, with three of them riding on each bike. Manoj chased the fleeing suspects on foot and grabbed the clothes of one of the men seated on the rear of a motorcycle, causing him to fall. The three suspects who had gone ahead then reportedly returned, and all six attacked Manoj with machetes. He sustained bleeding injuries to his hand and the back of his head. The gang then fled from the spot. Manoj underwent treatment at Victoria Hospital and later filed a police complaint. Police are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspects. Manoj , a resident of Kurubarahalli, he had finished work and was heading home between 2.45am and 3am, according to a complaint filed by the victim. He stopped near Housing Board Bridge on Magadi Main Road and was using his mobile phone while seated on his electric scooter.
