Belagavi : The fifth edition of BeTCA Tech Meet 2026 will be held at Belgaum Foundry Cluster in Udyambag on Sept 19, bringing together startups, entrepreneurs, investors, engineers and industry leaders under the theme ‘Engineering the Future: AI. DeepTech. Security’. Organised by the Belagavi Technology Companies Association (BeTCA), the annual event has evolved into a key platform showcasing the city’s growing technology ecosystem, innovation and talent. A major attraction this year will be the keynote address by Deepak Shapeti, co-founder and CEO of Morphing Machines, who will share insights on converting deep-science innovations into commercially viable products. The event will feature panel discussions on emerging trends and industry challenges. A session titled ‘Beyond the Firewall’ will examine modern cyber threats and digital forensics, with experts Saleem Landur, Hitesh Dharmdasani and Swapneel Patnekar discussing how cyberattacks are detected, traced and prevented. Another panel will explore the journey from concept to commercial product, featuring Murali Srinivasa of LionCircuits, Deepak Shapeti and Tulasidas Salunkhe of Electrosal. The meet will also host ‘Building Belagavi: The Startup Story,’ highlighting the city’s evolving startup landscape. The session will feature entrepreneur Swathi Gururaj Kulkarni, content creator Mehmood Athani and Ian Nazareth, founder of The Foundry Podcast, who will share their experiences of building ventures and communities in Belagavi.
