Dr Shivaji K Jadhav
He is among 18 recipients of the Global Health Travel Award selected worldwide and the only one from India and Asia, according to the award organisers. Dharwad : Dharwad-based virologist, molecular diagnostics scientist and biotechnology entrepreneur Dr Shivaji K Jadhav, FRSB (UK), has been selected for the Gates Foundation Global Virologist Health Award.

The fully funded award will enable Dr Jadhav to attend the 2027 Keystone Virology Symposium in Geneva, Switzerland, from Feb 1 to 4, where he will be felicitated and formally recognised. The award honours his contributions to molecular diagnostics, infectious diseases, global health and healthcare innovation. It will also provide him an opportunity to interact with scientists and researchers from across the world working on emerging infections and the global virome.
