Hassan district minister KM Shivalingegowda with Hassan DC invited CM DK Shivakumar for Hasanamba festival in Bengaluru on Friday
Hassan: The Hassan district administration on Thursday invited chief minister DK Shivakumar to the Hasanamba Temple festival, scheduled to be held from Oct 29 to Nov 11. During the meeting, Shivakumar said he would visit Hasanamba Temple between Nov 1 and 6. Around 25 lakh devotees visited the temple last year. The minister said arrangements had been made for approximately 3,500 VIPs. Devotees seeking quick darshan can continue to avail themselves of the special ticket priced at Rs 1,000.
He instructed ministers and officials to ensure proper arrangements so that devotees would not face any inconvenience. A delegation led by district minister KM Shivalingegowda handed over the invitation to Shivakumar. This year, arrangements are being made on a grand scale, similar to the Mysuru Dasara celebrations. Invitations have been extended to the CM, deputy chief minister and other ministers.
Shivalingegowda said VIP darshan will be permitted only between 10.30am and 12.30pm, while the remaining hours will be reserved for the general public.
Reacting to reports that three ministers were stopped by police during the Nandi Dhwaja puja at Mysuru Dasara, Shivalingegowda said the cops’ action was wrong. He assured that such incidents would not be allowed during the Hasanamba festival, adding that a special system had been designed to manage VIP and public darshan separately.
