Kalaburagi : Kalaburagi police have cracked the case behind the suspicious death of Sidram Basalingappa Madagi Patil, 40, a computer centre owner from near Malkhed bus stand, arresting his wife, Ambika , and her alleged lover, Maruti Bhovi, on Friday night. A murder case has been registered against both.
Acting on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother, Basamma, at Malkhed police station on Nov 5, police registered a case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
However, following the subsequent complaint by Basamma and the investigation that followed, police registered a murder case and arrested two persons, including the deceased man’s wife, police sources said.
Earlier, Ambika had lodged a complaint regarding her husband’s suspicious death at Malkhed police station.
Family members immediately shifted Sidram to the govt hospital in Malkhed, where doctors declared him dead. His body was later moved to the mortuary at GIMS Hospital in Kalaburagi.
