A senior police officer said the woman was being requested to lodge a complaint against her family so that action could be taken.
However, the alleged kidnapping took a dramatic turn when the woman intervened and told the crowd that the men were her own family members, including her father, who had come from Rajasthan to take her back home.
Cops said they are yet to register a case. Suspects have been detained and the car used in the “kidnapping” seized, police said. Of those injured, one woman with serious head injuries has been shifted to the ICU of a nearby private hospital, police added.
