Belagavi : More than 300 neurosurgeons, neurologists and medical professionals from Karnataka , Goa and Maharashtra participated in Neuro Synapse, a two-day state-level conference held in Belagavi on Saturday and Sunday. Organised under the theme ‘Connecting Minds, Advancing Neuroscience’, the conference served as a platform to discuss the latest advances, emerging trends and challenges in neurosurgery and neurological care. The conference was inaugurated by Dr YC Janardhan Reddy, renowned neurosurgeon and director of Nimhans, Bengaluru, while BIMS director Dr Vinay Dastikop attended as the guest of honour. Organising Committee chairman Dr Girish Sonwalkar highlighted the growing burden of brain and spinal disorders and stressed the need for greater collaboration, innovation and knowledge-sharing among specialists to address increasingly complex neurological conditions. Delivering the keynote address, Dr Janardhan Reddy shared insights into modern neurosurgical practices, advanced treatment modalities and the rapid technological advancements transforming the field of neuroscience. The conference featured a series of scientific sessions, expert lectures, panel discussions and interactive presentations focusing on advancements in neurosurgical techniques, neurological diagnosis, patient care and emerging treatment technologies.
