Officially named Pets on Akasa, Bengaluru accounted for more than 30% of more than 13,500 pet journeys carried out across the airline’s pan-Indian budget fleet. Pet parents flew mostly to Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati with their furry companions consistently as these routes consistently ranked in top five pet travel routes during the last three financial years, contributing to over 55% of pet flights from Bengaluru. Pet parents from Bengaluru now travel with their pets across 16 destinations, up from 10 since launch.
