BENGALURU: BJP MLA Muniratna was reportedly heckled by Congress workers and called a “rapist” at a polling station in Bengaluru on October 23, with a video of the confrontation now going viral on social media. The incident is said to have occurred during polling for the Karnataka Legislative Council elections at the Ambedkar College polling station in Nagarbhavi. The results were a setback for the ruling Congress, which said it would accept the voters’ verdict and review its performance.
In the video, Congress workers are seen heckling Muniratna, the MLA from Bengaluru’s Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency, and hurling the slur at him. The Karnataka BJP later took a swipe at Chief Minister DK Shivakumar following the alliance’s clean sweep, posting on X: “DK, it’s done, bro!
