Spotted: CCTV footage of Bhopal railway station captures Parveez Dharwad (left),34,Wednesday
Gadag: Parveez Dharwad, 34, an assistant executive engineer with the Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL), who has been missing since Sept 14, was spotted in CCTV footage at Bhopal Railway Station on Wednesday. A police technical team reviewed CCTV footage covering a radius of nearly 1,200km and eventually identified him at Bhopal Railway Station. Parveez went missing from Bengaluru on Sept 14.
Since his mobile phone remains switched off, Gadag police are facing difficulties in tracing and securing him. However, they are hopeful of locating him at the earliest. Two notes believed to have been left by him were found at his residence and office. In the notes, he allegedly stated that he had been harassed by contractors and elected representatives over the non-payment of pending bills for completed works. His family members have lodged a complaint with the Betageri Extension police, urging authorities to trace him and ensure his safety.
Earlier, his mobile phone was traced to Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, but it was subsequently switched off.
