The tanker driver, Raju, sustained injuries in the accident and was in stable condition, police said. The accident occurred on the service road opposite Veterinary College when the tanker was heading towards RT Nagar, police said. Police said driving a tanker carrying a large quantity of liquid requires extra caution as the movement of the liquid can affect the vehicle’s balance, particularly while taking turns. “Raju lost control over the vehicle and it fell on its side,” police said. Police said the remaining milk was likely to spoil by evening as the tanker could not be moved immediately.
