Udupi : A man seeking a visa to work abroad was allegedly cheated of Rs 1.5 lakh by fraudsters who contacted him after he applied through a website advertised on Facebook. The accused called the victim on June 20, identifying themselves as Vishnumani and Srinivasan from Chennai. #Don’t Get Scammed They allegedly assured him of arranging a visa for Rs 1.5 lakh, according to the complaint. Trusting them, the complainant transferred Rs 75,000 through GPay from his daughter’s bank account to an account in the name of Vrishnakuppa Aarthi on July 2. He also transferred another Rs 75,000 online from his son-in-law’s account to a bank account in the name of Ajith Kumar.
