Raichur: A 25-year-old woman died after she was found critically injured in a field on the outskirts of RH No 5 Camp in Sindhanur taluk early Saturday, with her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter sitting on her bloodstained body and crying. SP Arunangshu Giri said Sneha married Amit three years ago and had been staying at her parental home in RH No 5 Camp for the past few days. Stay updated with the latest Hubballi news.
The investigation is ongoing, Giri said. Sneha , wife of Amit , was unconscious with serious head and facial injuries, apparently caused by a lethal weapon. She was shifted to the govt district hospital but died despite treatment. DSP G Chandrashekhar and CPI Vinayak inspected the spot. Police suspected Amit and Shubham , identified as Sneha’s alleged lover, in connection with the case and took them into custody for questioning. Download the TOI App.
