Police have arrested six persons and filed an atrocity case against 13. An FIR was registered against 13 people, and six are arrested.
SP Pruthvik Shankar said a group clash occurred over a petty issue between both parties. A heated argument took place between Dalit families and locals. Irked by this, a local group allegedly assaulted Dalit families with stones. “An atrocity and assault case has been registered at Shahapur police station. Search for others is on,” he added.
Yadgir: A Dalit family was allegedly attacked by upper-caste people for staying in a temple after attending the annual jatra at Gurusanagi village of Vadagera taluk in Yadgir district on Monday. It is said that some Dalit families from Chamanal and Pagalapur villages had come to Gurusanagi, where Siddhalingeshwara temple’s annual jatra was organised on Sunday evening. When they were returning on Monday morning, their autorickshaw injured a local boy.
