The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Mangaluru : Shree Narayana Guru School of Art, Mangaluru, will organise the prize distribution ceremony of its state-level drawing competition, ‘Shree Guru Varna Vaibhava-2026’, on Saturday, at 4pm at the Glass House Auditorium of Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatha Kshetra.

The competition, organised for school students across Karnataka , received over 150 entries in its inaugural edition. The event was announced on the eve of Sri Narayana Guru Jayanti on Aug 28, and participants submitted their physical artwork by post around Dasara. Of the over 150 entries received from across Karnataka, more than 50 participants were from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district.

Suresh K Pandavarakallu, founder and director of the Shree Narayana Guru School of Art, said the competition was organised to provide children with a platform to showcase their creativity and artistic abilities. “There is immense artistic talent among children today, but they often lack proper opportunities,” he said. The school’s primary vision was to encourage and nurture young talent and help aspiring artists gain exposure at state and national levels.
