Gajanan Ghadge, senior inspector of AHTU informed that, the arrested accused are Prakash Gupta, 28, the manager of Hotel Krantiveer Lodging and Boarding in Shirdhon village, Panvel taluka, a waiter Priyaranjan Rai, 18, and a middleman (pimp) Asgar Fakir Shaikh, 38, a resident of Vichumbe village, Panvel taluka. While, the three arrested accused were remanded to police custody till Aug 7.
Inspector Ghadge said, “From the arrested accused we have seized their mobiles as evidence of text messages and photos of rescued women shared by the pimp share with the manager Gupta and waiter Rai for bringing the two women to the lodge to provide them to the decoy customer. The police arrested three accused including the lodge manager, a waiter and a pimp for providing the women to customers for sexual favour. After registering an FIR at Panvel city police station on Tuesday, as per the Panvel court order, the two rescued women were sent to a women welfare centre in Mumbai.
